The Squared Media team operates differently than a traditional studio, due to how it was founded several years ago under the name Black Plasma Studios. We’re a collection of individual directors, each of whom have a large amount of creative freedom over their individual projects. Our team is entirely remote, and works together from all over the world!

The Master Plan

In short: INDIE ANIMATION! We are committed to building a tight-knit, fully in-house team that has a passion for storytelling and not just “what’s trendy on YouTube”. Our long term goal as a studio is to tell the stories we want to tell, without having to worry about a producer telling us what we can and can’t do. With Matt at the helm, Squared Media’s vision is to enable talented up-and-coming directors to bring their stories to life through 3D animation, whether that be through Minecraft animation or totally original productions!
